I am VERY pleased to announce that Jim Harvey of the www.hre.com website has featured the good ol’ Hot Rod on the November 2008 banner.
I owe a lot to the Hooligans at the HRE site, without their help I would probably still be sitting in the shop trying to figure out what went where…
…but instead, I got out on the track and earned my license!

In preparation for 2009, I am going to get the other 3 stages of nitrous finished along with the needed safety gear (‘chutes, diapers, etc) and be ready to rock in the spring of 2009.

It is time for an update~!
Since I have brought the Hot Rod up to the Skunk Works I have gotten quite a bit of things completed on it. Tiffany and I finished plumbing the second and third stages of fuel enrichment for the nitrous systems. I had decided to go with the Koehler Fuel Controller instead of the more traditional regulators that most teams use. Our injection system is anything but traditional, and since Dave has been there, done that, I choose to follow his lead.

The next project we worked on was completing the nitrous distribution block which directs the liquid nitrous out to each of the stages. I currently have 3 systems plumbed and I am working with Nitrous Supply to finish the 4th system.

This distribution block also has provisions for our purges, which are mounted at the back of our injector.
